Dear Parents,
As the current school year comes to an end, plans are being made for 2012-2013. We hope that you will consider being a part of St. Paul's Parent Council. The function of Parent Council is to support the mission of St. Paul’s Episcopal School and we do this in a variety of ways. Parent Council is structured with a Lower School division and a Middle/Upper School division. Each division has grade representatives (room mothers) and committee chairs. We meet regularly throughout the year – sometimes jointly and sometimes separately. The meetings begin promptly at 9:30 a.m., last one to one and a half hours, and often feature a speaker, members of the administration or representatives of the student body.
While Parent Council members serve as class representatives (room mothers) and committee chairs, they also serve as liaisons between the administration and other parents. Parent Council members are asked to attend monthly meetings and to support fundraisers and special projects sponsored by the Parent Council. Attendance at monthly meetings and support of other Parent Council functions is important to the success of Parent Council. Please consider this when making your decision to serve.
Class representatives and committee chairs will be selected during the summer months. If you would like to serve on either council or on a committee, please indicate your interest by completing this 'survey' by June 11.
We appreciate your support and look forward to working together to enhance our children's experience at St. Paul's. Go Saints!
