Parent Commissioning at Beach Road

Parent Commissioning is a special time during a weekend service in which you covenant with God to raise your child in a Christ-centered home. We see several examples of this in the Bible such as 1 Samuel when Hannah dedicated Samuel at the temple and Luke 2 when Mary and Joseph dedicated Jesus.

During the weekend services you will be asked to make a public pledge before the congregation that you will raise your child to know, love, and follow Christ. We believe that God designed the home to be the primary place for children to grow in their faith. One way that Beach Road seeks to partner with you is by providing a roadmap, training, and resources throughout your parenting journey. We call this the Milestone Journey. Parent Commissioning is the first of eight milestones identified from birth to young adulthood.
