About the Committee
The overall purpose of this committee is to build and support a unified understanding and practice of positive youth development (PYD) across the 4-H system. The outflow of the committee’s work is primarily through PYD academies that are supported and convened by National 4-H Council. The PYD academies are intended to provide professional development and capacity building opportunities for the 4-H system, with a focus on translating critical research and knowledge into effective and high quality PYD practice in 4-H. 4-H Common Measures is also linked closely with the committee’s work, ensuring a seamless system for 4-H evaluation efforts.
