Welcome to the Goldfields Connect Feasibility Study which is exploring the potential for a community hub for Maryborough and across Central Goldfields.

This project follows a series of forums, starting in August 2023 (Community Forum) and culminating in 2026 (FRRR initiative), by representatives of not-for-profit (NFP) organisations, community groups, and other key stakeholders connected to the Maryborough region’s active NFP sector.

These consultations highlighted the potential for a community hub to realise our vision for the community’s future.

Our first step is a multi-pronged feasibility study to better understand the complexities and considerations of establishing such a Hub/Centre in Central Goldfields, Maryborough. This will include this survey as well as face to face interviews.

We want to know how a local community hub could meet the needs of you and your organisation (not-for-profit, volunteer) and how could you be part of it. Your knowledge and understanding of the local area will guide the development of a model.

Your input is essential for us to find a model that suits this community.

Please enjoy exploring and answering the questions.

This project study is being managed by the Maryborough Volunteer Resource Group and is funded and supported by the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal.
