The Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce is focused on regularly surveying and engaging our members to track trends, identify advocacy initiatives, and promote activity that matters most to the business community.
The role of the Greater Tallahassee Chamber's Business Advocacy Committee (BAC) is to identify major issues facing our business community and engage in meaningful advocacy efforts. Based on concerns raised by our members, violent crime and its impact on local business, is one of the issues the Chamber Board and BAC are investigating.
Violent crime is composed of four offenses and involves force or threat of force: murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, forcible rape, robbery, and aggravated assault. The Chamber recognizes this is a complex issue that transcends the tapestry of community, socioeconomic, demographic, geographic, and other factors. We care about the safety of every individual in our community and will continue to work with law enforcement, government leaders, and community partners as we examine this issue, analyze data and trends, and receive input from our members.
At this time, the Chamber is in the research stage of gathering and analyzing information. Based on the research, further determinations will be made on the next steps.
Please take a moment to complete the following survey. The 16-question survey is anonymous and will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Survey responses are due by November 21 at 5 p.m. Thank you for your feedback.
