The Prince George’s County Planning Department, with the help of private consultants, is conducting a study that will evaluate the current and future real estate market and redevelopment opportunities to improve businesses along Livingston Road and Cady Drive, and ways to create an identity for the area and provide opportunities for neighborhood activities.
The study will also evaluate the wooded area within the Henson Creek stream valley for opportunities for active or passive recreation amenities while preserving the environmentally sensitive features and explore why there is flooding in the general area and how to control it.
This study area was identified in the 2006 Henson Creek-South Potomac Master Plan for a mix of land uses where residential, commercial, office, and light industrial uses coexist. Since 2006, very few new investments have occurred in the area. (Click for Boundary Map and Streetview.)
