New Family Phone Calls & Welcome Receptions: Help new families feel connected to the College before the school year begins. Get to know incoming families from your region, either with a welcoming phone call or by hosting a welcome reception.

Care Package Parties: Let students from your area know that someone is thinking of them by working with other parents to create seasonal care packages.

Alumnae/Family events: Host an event for other Scripps parents and alumnae that live in your region.

Share Your Career Experience: Participate as a panelist, facilitate a workshop, and share your perspective on industry trends, life after college, and tips for getting started in your field.

Make an Introduction: Share job openings and industry contacts with Career Planning & Resources.

Hire an Intern: Help a Scripps student gain first-hand, career-related experience by offering internships with your company. Advocate for paid internship opportunities.

Host a Company Trek: Invite a small group of students to your workplace for a real-world perspective. Typical visits are 2 hours and include a site tour, panel presentation, and Q&A with professional staff from multiple departments.

Support the Parent Fund: The Parent Fund provides critical operating support for the College and enables us to hire quality faculty, maintain a beautiful and safe campus, and provide scholarships and study abroad opportunities for students.

Facilitate a Foundation, Corporate, or Matching Gift: Scripps accepts gifts from both family and corporate foundations. Donors are also encouraged to explore whether their employer has a matching gift program.

Include the College in your Estate Plan: Over the past 90 years, hundreds of families and alumnae have made bequests and other planned gifts to the College, providing a legacy of support for the education of women who will make a difference in the world.

Join the Parent Leadership Council (PLC): Members of the PLC provide direction, inspiration, and guidance to other Scripps parents and to the wider college community. The group is marked by a dedication to personal philanthropy (giving at least $2,000 annually). In return, PLC members enjoy a special relationship with Scripps including exclusive events and opportunities to meet with Scripps leadership.
