r/SlipjointKnives Club Knife Sign Up 2026

First, we’d like to thank you for participating in making the first club knife for r/SlipjointKnives a reality. It’s an exciting project, and while the process may not have been perfect, it’s been a learning experience. This year’s club knife, made by a member of our group, is going to be a special one and we’re happy to work with Upstate Cut. Co. in bringing this knife into reality.

In order to help you understand the timing for this project, below is our EXPECTED rough timeline to completion with key dates noted:

- April 3: Sign Up Cutoff Date. This is the date you must be signed up by. This is also the date that your initial deposit is due to Upstate Cut. Co.
- May 31: We expect that all of the knives will be completed by this date. This could move earlier or later, depending on how many sign ups there are. Once knives are completed, final payment of any remaining balance will be due. Once paid in full, your knife will be shipped out.
- June 15: This is the date that we expect knives to be delivered to everyone. Again, this is an estimate which may change depending on the number of sign ups.

1.First, we’ll need your Reddit username for record keeping. Please enter your username here. Be sure to double check it matches exactly!(Required.)
2.Next, we need other ways to contact you. Reddit accounts get deleted from time to time and we want to make sure you get your knife regardless of what “technical errors” might happen. There also may be a need for Justin (of Upstate Cut. Co.) to contact you along the way. Please add an email address where you can be reached.(Required.)
3.If you also want another backup contact option, feel free to add your phone number or backup email address here. Not required but could be handy in case other means of contact fail.
A $100 deposit (sent directly to Upstate Cut. Co.) is required to sign up for this SFO. Once the sign up process is completed, you will receive an email with information about how to pay your deposit.

Please, keep in mind that this is only a deposit and the remaining balance of $125 will be due before your knife is delivered. You will need to handle this directly with Upstate Cut. Co.

In order to protect Upstate Cut. Co. from payment issues, we will be tracking each member’s payment status, with the help of Justin. While we understand that life happens and budgets may change, we still have to ensure that Justin does not get caught ordering more parts/materials than needed, which could greatly impact his small business. Please be sure you budget accordingly for the full amount of the knife. Any member who backs out, after completing the sign up form, will potentially be banned from any future official r/SlipjointKnives Club Knives. We don’t anticipate any issues here, but again we just need to protect the interests of Upstate Cut. Co., as the knife is being made for this group at a significant discount and with significant upfront costs to the maker.

There may be additional shipping costs for buyers outside the US. This will need to be resolved directly with Upstate Cut. Co.
4.I agree to pay the $100 deposit upfront, and to pay the remaining $125 balance before the knife will be delivered. This will total $225 paid directly to Upstate Cut. Co. (Additional shipping charges may apply for non-US buyers)(Required.)
While nobody is going to police this, we’d like to ask that these knives remain in the group if at all possible. Once you buy the knife, it’s yours to do with what you want. However, if you do want to sell this for any reason, we ask that you make an effort to resell it at the same cost you paid and try to keep it to members of the r/SlipjointKnives group.
