Girl Scouts of West Central Florida Property Vision
Overall Vision
The Girl Scouts of West Central Florida recognizes that our outdoor programs and property deliver a core part of our mission. We are committed to enhancing the outdoor programs and experiences for our girl and volunteer members over the next several years to enhance their experience, usage and capacity.
All camps will be capable of providing a core group of programming and have many common facilities:
Camp Dorothy Thomas – Premier center for outdoor education, adventure activities and encampment destination.
Camp Wildwood – Premier equestrian and outdoor education camp.
Camp Wai Lani – Premier marine science and environmental education destination.
Camp Indian Echo – Premier introductory camping experience for our younger membership.
All sites will provide a variety of basic open fire cooking and gathering, field sports and games, hiking, archery, some degree of challenge/adventure course, swimming (or water based cool off activities), nature, creative arts, large group meetings, and family programming.
