AEE Layoff Communication & Survey to members

AEE needs your support and engagement as we fight to protect your jobs and push the State to explore more reasonable, fair and equitable solutions. While the State claims to have explored all options, we strongly believe there are funds that should be utilized to minimize layoffs. AEE will stand firmly against any decision that threatens the livelihood of our members, while the State leaves other cost-saving measures untouched.

Article 6.5 of AEE’s Collective Bargaining Agreement requires the Agency to “meet with the Association to discuss the factors causing the layoff and consider alternatives to layoffs.”

AEE is committed to demanding that the Agency consider every possible alternative to laying off full-time staff and is surveying members to assess interest in voluntary programs to free up existing funding, until new funding can be secured. As always, our goal is to protect every AEE-represented employee in the face of this unprecedented funding failure that impacts the health and safety of millions of Oregonians who travel.

This survey is 100% voluntary. Responses do not represent a commitment, and individual responses will not be communicated to the Agency. Data gathered in this survey will only be used by AEE for the express purpose of discussing alternatives to layoffs and their viability with the Agency. Responses are anonymous, unless you wish to voluntarily update your AEE contact information at the end of the following survey.
