Good outcome data can assist research and prove the efficacy of physiotherapy intervention to help influence future funding opportunities. Patient reported outcome data can also assist you in tracking patient progress and reporting this progress objectively to third-party payers. We need to start collecting this data to benefit our profession and our patients. The APA is planning on conducting a research project, in partnership with Macquarie University, to help us to better understand how we can electronically collect patient reported outcome data. The project is designed to fit into your clinical workflow and minimise the impact on your practice and patients. To protect privacy all data will be deidentified - patient, practice and practitioner. We need practitioners to join us in this process - if you are a practitioner in the private sector then you are eligible to participate in this exciting and innovative new project. We would like to know if you would be interested in participating in this project.
