Applications are being accepted now through June 21, 2019 for ACSO’s 24th Annual Most Valuable Player (MVP) Awards. The awards are designed to give recognition to a few of the hundreds of dedicated, hardworking and committed volunteers that orchestras depend on every day.

The MVP Award is not a competition, but an opportunity for your extraordinary volunteer to be recognized in a public forum. The top administrator of each ACSO member organization may submit one completed nomination form, which constitutes the sole basis of the award being given. Nominations may be made for an individual volunteer, a volunteer committee, or a volunteer organization (such as a league or guild). ACSO will inscribe the winner's name on a special certificate and send you a press release you can customize and send to your local media.

The awards will be presented at a special luncheon on Thursday, August 8, at 12:15 pm at ACSO’s Annual Conference at the Embassy Suites Monterey Bay, Seaside. We request that each MVP winner attend the luncheon with a staff or board member from your organization in order to get the recognition they deserve! If a volunteer group or committee receives the award, only one representative should attend. Tickets for the luncheon are included in a conference registration (winners will be given the early-bird rate), or are $55/person if your MVP is not planning to attend the entire conference. We hope that as a "thank you" to them for their service your organization will cover this expense to make it possible for them to receive their award in person.
