WCASA and the Department of Corrections (DOC) are pleased to announce a series of regional training opportunities to roll out the recently revised Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Advocacy Manual.
Attendees will:
· Receive a copy of the new manual, including the new inmate rights video developed by WCASA and DOC
· Network and problem solve with other advocates
· Learn best practices for serving incarcerated survivors
· Discuss challenging scenarios advocates may encounter while providing services to incarcerated survivors.
Note: This training is not intended to serve as a PREA “101” training. For advocates who are wishing to learn PREA basics, we recommend you view the PREA webinar here (insert link) prior to attending one of the regional trainings.
