How do you feel ACP would benefit from your involvement on the National Board of Directors?
Owning my own consulting business has given me the opportunity to understand the nature of many different types of businesses and their challenges. I started the BC Program at both Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and Merck Pharmaceuticals. I also have experience in education, human resources, project management and global security. I have had the privilege of working and training outside the US in Egypt, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, South Africa, Latin America and Europe. I served as the Election Chair for the Liberty Valley ACP Chapter for four years and am very proud to be a member of one of the largest ACP chapters. I am currently serving on the ACP National Board and am Chair of the Education Committee. In addition to orchestrating the 2019 ACP National Conference, my co-Chair, Ed Goldberg and I have put together a regular webinar schedule in 2020 and are currently working on 2021. My fellow board members have made the past two years a pleasure. I hope to continue to serve on this board

Stuart Murray has accumulated over 20 years of professional disaster recovery & business continuity experience serving as a consultant to various Fortune 500 companies in a range of industries. During this period, he has been responsible for leading the creation and implementation of global programs for such organizations as Mercedes-Benz, Citadel Group, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and Jabil, Inc.

His current leadership role reports directly to the Global CISO for Jabil which is a Fortune 150 company with over 120 sites globally and 220,000 employees.

Statement of Purpose: (Describe why the nominee would be a good addition to the National Board)
Stuart’s experience leading teams and interacting with all levels of organizations including the C suite in addition to developing and maintaining relationships with external parties such as vendors, public agencies, and customers provides him with the broad experience and skills necessary to be successful in this role.

In addition to his DR/BCP experience, Stuart has acquired experience in managing budgets, fiscal planning, resource planning & development and crisis communications.

On a personal note I have worked directly with Stuart for over four years as a peer in the same leadership team.  He has been an excellent co-worker and has helped develop the others around him. His role and experience would make him a strong addition.
