Introduction

Thank you for taking part in this survey.

At UHR, we are committed to understanding and improving diversity, equity and inclusion across the higher education people profession. We know that our members have a wide range of backgrounds, identities and lived experiences, and we want to understand better how these experiences can influence career development, progression, belonging and inclusion.

To do this effectively, we need your help.
  • We recognise that the UHR team does not reflect the lived experiences represented across our membership and the wider profession.
  • We want to listen to and learn from colleagues with a broad range of protected characteristics and backgrounds.
  • We are interested in understanding both the barriers people may face and the factors that have helped them thrive and progress.
  • Your insights will help us identify meaningful actions and interventions that could support a more inclusive people profession across higher education.
This survey is completely anonymous. We will not collect information that identifies you or your institution, and all findings will be reported at an aggregated, sector-wide level.

We would also value your views on the future direction of this work, including the types of initiatives and interventions that could make the greatest difference.

Also, as a quick reminder, you may want check your UHR Web Profile to ensure that your diversity data is correct to enable us to build a more accurate picture of the people profession across the HE sector.

Thank you for helping us build a stronger evidence base and shape a more inclusive future for the people profession in higher education.
