Thank you for your interest in supporting the Alliance to Save Energy (ASE) and the Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE)’s U.S. Private Sector Letter in Support of Doubling “the” Global Rate of Energy Efficiency Improvements.

To: Ambassador André Corrêa do Lago, COP 30 President, Brazil

We, the undersigned, represent a broad coalition of American companies, investors, utilities, manufacturers, and large end use customers who are committed to helping deliver on the goal of doubling energy efficiency improvements throughout the United States by 2030. We want to thank Brazil’s COP 30 Presidency for prioritizing the doubling of energy efficiency in the COP 30 Action Agenda.

We value energy efficiency and demand-side solutions as key assets that modernize and expand our growing energy system while also providing affordable energy, grid resilience, and energy security – all of which are vital to a sustainable economy.

Energy efficiency upgrades and investments are the fastest, cheapest, and most readily available solutions we have to lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, decrease demand on the grid, and improve the health, safety, and productivity of our built environment.

Whether by optimizing energy use with AI, improving energy reliability and resilience by upgrading aging infrastructure, or adding more efficient cooling and heating to improve worker productivity and indoor air quality, U.S. businesses and organizations remain committed to investing in a sustainable future with energy efficiency as the “first fuel”.

Collectively, we recognize the opportunity and obligation to be global leaders in advancing energy efficiency. We will continue to scale investments, build out projects, and work in partnership with local, state, and national governments to responsibly and efficiently power our world.
