Some issues to consider:
This project engineer’s ability to create a team of subcontractors and keep them on schedule.
This project engineer’s ability to communicate, process changes to the subcontractor’s scope of work and collect pricing from all subcontractors.
Proactive in coordinating with other trades (coordinate shops, distribute information timely, pursue resolution to scope notes on shop drawings).
Pursue timely responses to questions that are impacting and/or delaying subcontractors’ work, and provide direction.
