Add to "West Virginia Wisdom" in Trauma-Informed Approaches to Care

Thank you for taking a moment to share information on your program.

Trauma-informed care means all components of care have been considered and evaluated in light of a basic understanding of the role that trauma plays in the lives of children, adolescents or adults. It means that services are delivered in a way to avoid inadvertent re-traumatization, and facilitate participation in treatment and recovery.

The West Virginia System of Care wants to hear how service provider organizations are moving toward Trauma-Informed care, and Trauma-Focused treatment.
