Call for Solutions

Do you have an idea, plan, or solution for how to address the current state of economic equity in our region? We want to hear from YOU!

The 2021 PNW Economic Equity Summit is a chance for community members, groups, and leaders to share their ideas with local industry experts, business leaders, and policymakers. This will be a space dedicated to discussing the real challenges that face our communities, meeting them with ideas and solutions. We want to hear your thoughts on how we--together--can make a positive impact on change.

We are inviting everyone--from individual residents, entrepreneurs, and start-ups, as well as established businesses and organizations--to submit their ideas for a chance to present to a panel of judges and a live audience. Entries will be grouped into 3 categories, based on the areas of impact we will be focusing on this year:
- Affordable Housing
- Equity in Healthcare
- Voting and Policy Reform

Submissions will be screened by the event committee to determine who will proceed to the Initial Pitch Round. Finalists will be required to work with the committee on preparation for their presentation of the pitch in 3 sessions: Tuesday evenings on 5/25, 6/1, and 6/8 or Saturday mornings on 5/22, 6/5, and 6/12. Finalists will also be required to attend a virtual dress rehearsal on the evening of Tuesday, June 22nd in preparation for the live event on Wednesday, June 23rd.

Two finalists from each submission category will then be selected to present at the final LIVE event, the culmination of the PNW Economic Equity Summit on Wednesday, June 23rd in a virtual event. At the Summit, one winner will be selected.

The winner will receive the support and encouragement of the Renton, Kent, and Seattle Southside Chambers of Commerce valued at over $1,000, including but not limited to: 1 basic level membership from each of the 3 participating Chambers, six 1-on-1 coaching sessions with the Chamber CEOs, and other business support to move from idea to impact.
