Practices of NEUromonitoring in Meningitis caused by StreptoCOccus Pneumonia
Dear Colleague,
We invite you to participate in this European, multicenter, cross-sectional survey on current Practices of NEUromonitoring in Meningitis caused by StreptoCOccus Pneumonia.
We invite you to participate in this European, multicenter, cross-sectional survey on current Practices of NEUromonitoring in Meningitis caused by StreptoCOccus Pneumonia.
Our primary objective is to describe the current practices regarding neuromonitoring in severe community-acquired bacterial meningitis (CABM) caused by Streptococcus pneumonia.
Our secondary objective is to depict the current practices of intracranial hypertension (ICH) management in this specific context.

The survey is anonymous.
We greatly appreciate your time and contribution to this initiative.

Pr. Romain SONNEVILLE, Bichat-Claude Bernard Hospital, APHP Paris (FRANCE)
Pr. Fabio Silvio TACCONE, Hôpital Universitaire de Bruxelles, Bruxelles (BELGIUM)
Pr. Chiara ROBBA, Policlinico San Martino, Genoa (ITALY)
Note: Section 1 is related to general considerations. All the following questions in Section 2 to 7 are focusing on your neuromonitoring practices in patients admitted for community-acquired bacterial meningitis caused by Streptococcus pneumonia who are intubated in intensive care unit and not easily assessable by standard neurological examination. Section 8 is exploring briefly how your neuromonitoring practices influence your supportive care practices to manage intracranial hypertension.
Acute complications of CABM (e.g. brain abscesses, venous thrombosis, vascularitis, …) are considered out of scope of this neuromonitoring survey.
