Processed Products: Ingredient Sourcing Requirements

Montavilla Farmers Market (MFM) is interested in establishing relationships that support the local economy and agriculture. For that reason MFM requires that at least 20% of a processed or ready-to-eat food product's raw ingredients must be sourced directly from Oregon or Washington farms/growers. In cases where the raw product is unavailable locally, then an organic product may be a suitable substitution for the 20% local ingredients.

We compare vendors to see their range of farm-direct and organic ingredients and want to choose the processed food & ready-to-eat products that are best suited to MFM and its goal of supporting local growers and sustainable agriculture. The following questions are being asked to help us get to know you, and to better understand your products and ingredient sources.

WE SUGGEST READING THROUGH ALL THE QUESTIONS FIRST, AND HAVING A COMPLETE LIST OF YOUR INGREDIENTS HANDY, AND KNOWING WHICH FARMS THEY ARE FROM AND WHICH ARE ORGANIC, BEFORE YOU BEGIN.
