Technology Questionnaire

Greensboro's AIR department is interested in acquiring 2 Oculus Rift Headsets and several Ipads for participants with disabilities to use. We hope to create some programs surrounding immersive games that focus on motor skills, cognitive skills, and exercise. We are conducting a 5 minute interest survey to see if a technology program would interest Greensboro residents.

Question Title

* 4. According to some studies, specifically people with autism spectrum disorder, developmental coordination disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, down syndrome, and cerebral palsy have seen major improvements in gross motor skills and even weight loss with virtual reality gaming. What types of video games would you or family member with a disability be interested in trying? *Please Pick Top 3*

Question Title

* 5. Do you have a hearing or visual impairment and are you easily carsick or seasick? We ask this because while VR completely safe, can be disorienting at first. With this kind of headset the first time you experience we will need to adjust it to your eyes and ears, so we will need to know what modifications to make in advance.

Question Title

* 6. Which time frame would work best for you and your family to attend the technology program? (Day, Time, Season?)

Question Title

* 7. Please share any information of other people who may benefit from this program that we can contact.

Question Title

* 8. Please enter any questions or comments you have about this program here. And thank you for taking our interest survey! Once we have made a decision about this program, we will apply for a grant to get the equipment and begin planning.
