“Networks, articulation and strategies for sustainable inclusion of rural youth in rural development initiatives"

This Learning Route aims at sharing and applying strategies and innovations for effective inclusion of youth in policies and rural development initiatives and is part of the "Learning and Change Initiative for the inclusion of young protagonists of rural development" supported by IFAD and implemented by PROCASUR in the framework of the "Strengthening skills and Tools to Scale and spread Innovations - STooSI" 2016-2018 Cross-regional Program between Latin America and Africa.

It also aims to promote and strengthen youth networks, institutional coordination and development of entrepreneurship, through dialogue and feedback with technical teams, partners and young leaders involved in relevant initiatives in Colombia and El Salvador.

In order to facilitate the development of concrete actions designed from collective learning and with participation of the most relevant local young actors from rural development projects, the involvement of mixed teams of two to four (2 to 4) representatives from the same project and/or institution is promoted, including the following profiles: 1) IFAD projects technical or management team, or similar organizations with experience and interest in leading youth inclusion actions; 2) leaders of rural organizations or farmers/rural microentrepreneurs relevant to the project or similar organization; 3) young leader(s) between ages of 18 and 30 with influence on decision-making in a rural youth organization, and; 4) representative(s) from the project’s executing agency or relevant others, interested in supporting the design and implementation of actions aimed at improving the inclusion of youth in its operation.

To apply you must complete the section of the institutional profile form for each project, institution or organization applying with a team and add your candidates’ profiles to represent the project, institution or organization.

The deadline for completing the registration form and send the Letter of Commitment is on 30 September, 2016.
