PRSA Maryland Call for Judges 2019 |
Thank you for your interest in volunteering to serve as an award judge for the Agriculture Relations Council Golden ARC Awards. Please complete this short survey by Tuesday, May 14. We are happy to answer any questions you may have about judging - just let us know on the survey. Do know that we support our judges – so you won’t be alone. Judges are provided guidelines and judging sheets.
We expect judging to begin on or around May 17 and continue until June 5 (updated 5/10/19). All entries are submitted electronically so judges will need to have access to computer to download, review and score entries.
What do I need to be a judge? A firm understanding of effective public relations practice, and at least 5 years' experience in the profession (actively employed in public relations, actively teaching public relations at the collegiate level or retired with solid background in public relations). Your time commitment can be as little as 2-3 hours to judge a complete category or longer if you wish to judge more categories.
Where is judging done? Judging is done in teams of 2 or more which can work virtually or be part of an onsite judging party (which we highly encourage!). While judging is in teams, each judge must review and score entries individually. All entries are submitted electronically using Dropbox, so as long as you have access to a computer, you can review and score entries.
How are teams assigned? We use this short survey to help us assign teams. If you have a team – your staff or department employees or a group of peers – just let us know on the survey and provide the key contact. If you don’t have a team, we will find a partner for you. We try to pair less experienced judges with those more experienced to achieve the best possible results so please be sure to answer questions regarding your years in PR and experience level.
Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
Thank you!
