Grief and Loss - LGBTIQA+ Consultation

Information about this survey

Grief is a normal response to loosing something or someone important to us. People often think that grief is only present after a death, but we can grieve anything we value - we can grieve our autonomy, identity, relationships, pets, and our home just to name a few.

Palliative Care Tasmania (PCT) is consulting with the LGBTIQA+ community to better understand experiences of grief and loss. What we learn through this consultation will inform the development of dedicated grief and loss resources for:
*LGBTIQA+ community members, and
*Health and community professionals who support people from the LGBTIQA+ community.

With permission, the stories shared through this consultation will also help shape PCT’s grief education programs, which aim to build the capacity of support professionals across a wide range of sectors.
We will never identify you when sharing your stories and reflections.

While there are no more coupons available for participation, we welcome responses still to the survey. Each and every response will be read.

You can skip any questions you don’t want to answer. There are no right or wrong answers.

Finally, thinking about grief and loss can bring up strong emotions – if you feel you need some additional support, please use the supports available below.
