South Carolina Medical Device Alliance Interest Form

Thank you for your interest in providing your expertise to South Carolina's Medical Device Alliance. Currently, we are looking for people to join us as a Professor of the Practice (PoP) or to provide industry insight on the Medical Device Commercial Advisory Panel (MDCAP). 

What is the MDCAP? 

The Medical Device Commercial Advisory Panel (MDCAP) was formed by SCRA to provide industry insight to the innovators and technology transfer offices. The Advisory Panel consists of seasoned medical device executives across disciplines, including regulatory affairs, R&D, production engineering, reimbursement and funding. We are always looking for experts from the medical device industry. 

What is the Professor of the Practice (PoP)?

The PoP will assist the Medical Device Alliance in selecting promising biomedical device inventions from senior design teams as well as faculty members or clinicians. For each technology, the PoP will then award a graduate student i6 team-lead fellowship and lead the formation of a graduate student team. The PoP will then assist in the development of an effective process for advising teams, and serve as the primary mentor to these teams as they advance this technology through one additional year of development.
