Parent Involvement Committee (PIC)
Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of PIC! PIC works with parents, school councils and community partners to foster parent involvement and community engagement in support of student success.
The committee is comprised of eight (8) Parent Members, two (2) OCASC Representatives, three (3) Community Representatives, one (1) Member of the Board of Trustees and the Director of Education.
PIC meets approximately six times per year. The role of PIC is to:
·provide information, advice and recommendations on parent engagement to the Board of Trustees;
·communicate with and supporting school councils; and
·undertake activities and working with partners and agencies to help parents of pupils of the OCDSB to support their children's learning at home and at school.
