The Heirloom Meatless Recipes Project (BATCH 10) Welcome to a project to preserve traditional plant-based recipes from around the world and the stories of people who created them. Recipes using minimally-processed, healthy ingredients with few or no animal products are especially sought. Why? Because these best represent what most people ate before Westernized, fast-food. This survey takes four minutes to follow and collects one recipe. The link may be used repeatedly. There are spaces also to tell about the cooks. Here is a sample completed form: 1.) To see if it is hot enough, dip the non-stirring end of a wooden spoon into the oil. If bubbles rise, oil is ready frying. Drop mixture by teaspoonfuls. Fry until fritters turn golden brown.
