BRAP PAMET Philippine Laboratory Biosafety and Biosecurity Survey

In fulfilling the vision and mission of BRAP together with our partner association, PAMET, we created the BRAP PAMET Philippines Biosafety and Biosecurity Survey. The purpose of this survey is to examine the policies and standards that Philippine laboratorians employ to advance laboratory biosafety and biosecurity in their laboratories. Specifically, we need to (1) characterize the practices, equipment, and facilities used by these laboratorians and (2) examine the effectiveness of existing national and state regulations in the context of the infectious pathogens they handle. By analyzing data gathered from this survey, we hope to identify and address gaps in the development and implementation of policies and standards related to laboratory biosafety and biosecurity in the Philippines.
