Campus Compact is seeking applications for several Community Engagement Professional (CEP) Competency Research Fellows. These Fellows will work to refine the competency model for community engagement professionals (Dostilio, 2017), which began last year. The purpose of this project is to implement a research process to assemble a refined competency model for Community Engagement Professionals. Selected research fellows will work collaboratively with another fellow to examine one of nine CEP functional areas. Additionally, they will regularly meet with the collective research team and primary investigators throughout the project. The nine CEP functional areas that this project focuses on include anchor and economic opportunity, extension, place-based engagement, chief engagement leadership, social impact research and community affairs, cross-functional practice, student-centered engagement, faculty-focused engagement, and community partnerships.
Qualifications and Application ProcessPotential Research Fellows have two or more years of experience as a Community Engagement Professional within the functional area they are researching, previous research experience, and the ability to excel in a collaborative working posture. Applicants are to indicate the two CEP functional areas that interest them the most, upload a current curriculum vitae or resume, and upload their response to the two narrative questions below.
Application & Selection TimelineThe priority deadline for applications is Monday, November 11, 2024. Review of applications will continue until all fellows are selected.
