I would like to sign up to volunteer for the following committee(s): Community Building: Help plan social gatherings; Teacher Appreciation Week and Faculty Birthdays; Develop ways to get parents engaged in school; and more (This is a new committee!) Food/Wellness: Help plan menus and prepare food items for school events; Work with chair and other members to develop plan for this committee; Incorporate wellness education components as this committee evolves. Fundraising: Support bookkeeper in establishing, leading and ensuring success of PC fundraisers ($10k goal this year!). Partner with other PC committees, faculty, and administration to integrate PC fundraising into school events. Green: Ensure composting and recycling process are in place for events and daily school activities; Support board and administration in integrating green components into new school building; Ensure Zero Waste at school events. Historian: Work with Scribe to develop and oversee ongoing maintenance of school-wide and grade-level binders for parents; develop templates and standards for Parent Council; partner with Library on any archival activities. Library: Staff Library Checkout days; Manage existing and new inventory of books; Help plan for library expansion in new school building; Lead Screen Free week; Develop and expand parent and faculty libraries. Makers' Guild: Partner with administration and faculty to establish budget, timeline and items needed throughout the year for classrooms, festivals, and school events; Obtain volunteers to ensure project completion for craft items; Develop plan for maintaining and evolving this committee. Yearbook: Take photos of class and school-wide events; Produce annual yearbook; Work with Ms. Leidy to design and implement after-school program with students to help produce yearbook; Support picture day. Class Delegates are asked to attend Parent Council meetings (monthly, 3rd Thursday evening), participate in at least one committee, and represent their class/grade at the meetings by providing updates or raising relevant issues or concerns.
