2025 Exeter Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet Nomination Form

Please submit your nominees in their appropriate categories for the 2025 Exeter Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet.

Nominations will be received through January 23rd, 2026.

The Awards Banquet is Saturday, February 28th at 6:00pm at the Exeter Veterans Memorial Building.

The Man of the Year Award recipient shall be selected from individuals residing within the Exeter community and/or owning or employed in an Exeter area business. Honoree of Man of the Year will be deemed ineligible to receive the subsequent award for a minimum of 10 years. Current members of the Chamber Board of Directors are not eligible for consideration.

The selection is based on the following criteria:

- Someone who has distinguished themselves in their career and personal life
- Civic and community involvement (government, schools, etc.)
- Voluntary work on behalf of community charitable efforts (including church and non profit)
- Any other special recognition in the community

Past award winners include many of the community's most recognizable and successful residents but nominees need not necessarily be prominent individuals, anyone doing significant and beneficial work on behalf of any segment of the community should be considered.

3.In addition, state clearly why this individual deserves recognition.
The Woman of the Year Award recipient shall be selected from individuals residing within the Exeter community and/or owning or employed in an Exeter area business. Honoree of Woman of the Year will be deemed ineligible to receive the subsequent award for a minimum of 10 years. Current members of the Chamber Board of Directors are not eligible for consideration.

The selection is based on the following criteria:

- Someone who has distinguished themselves in their career and personal life

- Voluntary work on behalf of community charitable efforts (including church and non profit)
- Any other special recognition in the community

The Business of the Year Award recognizes contributions above and beyond the norm in promoting their business, the community of Exeter and the Chamber. Current members of the Chamber Board of Directors are not eligible for consideration.

The selection is based on the following criteria:

- Current Chamber Member
- Civic and community involvement (government, schools, etc.)
- Voluntary work on behalf of community charitable efforts (church, non-profit, etc.)
- Any other special recognition in the community
- A major or one-time achievement of particular significance
- Business and professional leadership beyond the line of duty
- Outstanding service and contributions to the community over an extended period of time
6.Type in your nominee for Business of the Year Award

The Organization/Non-Profit of the Year Award recognizes contributions above and beyond the norm in promoting their business, the community of Exeter and the Chamber. Current members of the Chamber Board of Directors are not eligible for consideration.

The selection is based on the following criteria:

- Current Chamber Member
- Civic and community involvement (government, schools, etc.)
- Voluntary work on behalf of community charitable efforts (church, non-profit, etc.)
- Any other special recognition in the community
- A major or one-time achievement of particular significance
- Business and professional leadership beyond the line of duty
- Outstanding service and contributions to the community over an extended period of time
8.Type in your nominee for Organization of the Year Award
9.In addition, state clearly why this Organization deserves recognition
The Beautification Award is given to the Chamber member business or organization which has done the most in the last several years to improve it's appearance or the appearance of the community, including using architecture and landscaping complimentary to the theme of the City. Current members of the Chamber Board of Directors are not eligible for consideration.
10.Type in your nominee for Beautification of the Year Award

The Heritage Award recipient shall be selected from individuals residing within the Exeter community and/or owning or employed in an Exeter area business. Honoree of Heritage Award will be deemed ineligible to receive the subsequent award for a minimum of 10 years. Current members of the Chamber Board of Directors are not eligible for consideration.

The selection is based on the following criteria:

- Participating member of the community for 25 years of more
- Outstanding service & contributions to the community over an extended period of time
- Civic & community dedication, volunteer work on behalf of charitable organizations (including church and non profit)
- Involvement in county and state government, which influences Exeter
- Contributions above and beyond the line of duty

Exeter Chamber of Commerce Bylaws, Article II; Section 6-Honorary Membership: Distinction in public affairs shall confer eligibility to honorary membership. Honorary members shall have all the privileges of members.

The selection committee consists of Chamber Board of Directors, City Administrator, Mayor, and two (2) of the most recent honorees. The Director of the Chamber shall serve as a non-voting advisory member.

Selection Guidelines:
- The Chamber Director shall make available to the community at large through mailings and other appropriate means the guidelines for nominations
- Nomination forms shall be available at the Chamber as well
- Nominations must be submitted by January 23rd, 2026
- Nominations by selection committee members will not be considered. Current members of the Chamber Board of Directors and/or their business are not eligible for consideration
- Selection process consists of: a review of the nominees, a discussion and a vote by ballot
- The recipient will be chosen by the majority vote and awarded at the annual banquet
- If your nominee is selected, you may be contacted to schedule a surprise announcement of the winner
- Any exceptions require Chamber Board of Directors approval
