Streets as Shared Spaces - Maitlanes Project End Maitlanes ran between 01 February - 30 April 2023. Council focused on transforming public space in Central Maitland through a suite of high impact, engaging and innovative temporary interventions in seven laneways throughout Central Maitland. The improvements were designed to create new usable public space and improve walkability in the city centre, change the hierarchy of our streets and support greater social connection.
