Design Society Awards

Call for Nominations

In 2025, we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Design Society. This milestone allows us to reflect on how engineering design has evolved and to look ahead at the opportunities that lie ahead for the society and the wider community.

In recognition of the contributions of our members, we’re launching three new awards to recognize excellence across career stages, from emerging researchers to those with a long track record of significant contributions.

Nomination Guidelines:
  • Eligibility: Only Design Society members are eligible to nominate candidates. Nominees must have been members for at least four consecutive years and be a current member.
  • Multiple Awards: Multiple awards may be granted in the same category each year; however, an individual cannot receive more than one per cycle.
  • Self-nominations: Not permitted. Independence between nominators and nominees is encouraged to ensure a diverse range of recognized contributions.

7.Nomination Statement: Please provide a brief statement (up to 50 words) summarizing the nominee’s achievements.(Required.)
8.Research and Implementation Description: Please provide a detailed description of the research content and its implementation in practice (up to 600 words, include links to graphics if applicable)(Required.)
9.Letters of Support: Please include the link(s) for 2-4 letters supporting the nomination, documenting the research’s merit and its impact on practice. Alternatively, please email these files to the DS Administration team, with the Title: "DS Award Nomination Letters - [Name of Nominee]" to admin@designsociety.org
