1.Informed Consent

Study Title: Courageous Girls : Self-Efficacy & Emotional Intelligence in young females

Purpose of the Study: You are being asked to participate in a research study to examine the role of self-efficacy and emotional intelligence in the leadership development of young women. To participate, you must be at least 20 and have a daughter participating in a Courageous Girls group.

Procedures: If you choose to participate, you will answer questions about yourself and you daughter. You will provide basic information about yourself and you will answer a series of questions from your daughter’s perspective. The survey is estimated to take no more than 15 minutes of your time.

Possible Risks or discomfort: It is unlikely that you will experience any risks or discomfort beyond what would be experienced in everyday life by participating.

Ownership of Data: The data collected will be owned by the researcher and used for existing and future research study. All data collected will have personal information such as email removed and replaced with a unique identifier.

Possible Benefits: There are no specific benefits by participating in this research.

Financial Consideration: There is no financial compensation for your participation in this research.

Confidentiality: The data collected in this study are completely anonymous. No personally identifiable information will be collected and the information you choose to provide in this study cannot be connected back to you. Results from this study may be published or presented at research conferences. Your participation in this study is voluntary and you may choose to not participate or end your participation at any time without penalty.

Termination of research study: Your participation in this study is voluntary and you may choose to not participate or end your participation at any time without penalty.
