Emphasis on lectures and talks: I love hearing from exceptional speakers and scholars about how their work is shaping my field.

Emphasis on learning: I love when conferences include opportunities to talk with experts in the field, with panel discussions or hands-on workshops that give me the chance to better understand how to execute effective solutions.

Emphasis on networking: I am never happier than in a room full of extroverts just like me, trying to trade as many business cards as I can.

Emphasis on relationship building: My favorite events make time for me to spend time in a roundtable setting, understanding the challenges and opportunities others see, and learning how they are taking advantage of opportunities to address them.

Emphasis on problem-solving: I only want to attend an event if I will have a chance to use my skills, network, and resources, to solve a difficult social challenge.
