Mentor Tech - Mentor Match Form

Thank you for your interest in serving as a mentor with Mentor Tech!

Mentor Tech mentors include Texas Tech faculty, staff, alumni, and trained Student Engagement Peer Mentors. You don’t need to be perfect or have all the answers — just a willingness to listen, share your experiences, and support a first-year student as they grow. If you’ve ever faced a challenge, figured out how to ask for help, or learned something the hard way, you have what it takes to be a great mentor.

Great mentors:
  • Care about student success and well-being
  • Are open to sharing personal experiences and advice
  • Know how to listen, ask questions, and encourage growth
  • Can adapt to the needs of a student figuring things out
  • Communicate respectfully and consistently
Please note: If you're a student interested in serving as a Peer Mentor (an employed student serving as a mentor in Mentor Tech), this form is only for students who have already been hired and trained by the Mentor Tech team.

The Peer Mentor Application (for student employee mentors) is open as a job application in another application. Please apply here or email mentor@ttu.edu with any questions about being a student employee Peer Mentor.
