APRA AMCOS is delighted to present a very special edition of SongHubs, live from the SOUNDBOX

Held on Wednesday 29 November at the ALWAYS LIVE SOUNDBOX, SongHubs provides a no-pressure environment for creators to collaborate outside their comfort zones.

Come along, write new music and make new friends! Deadline for application is COB AEDT Wednesday 8th November.

We welcome artist and songwriter Mo'Ju to curate the sessions.

Recent years have seen ARIA-nominated musician and songwriter Mo’Ju enter new realms of renown, their brand of visceral storytelling striking at the heart of a country whose social and cultural climate was maneuvering a particular state of unrest and change. A full spectrum of emotion and sonic textures marry together in Mo’Ju’s music, producing sounds that can be equal measures of sensuality, vulnerability and hard-hitting strength. The Naarm-based musician, songwriter, storyteller and third culture kid(Filipino/Wiradjuri), is not here to be boxed in and commodified.

Successful SongHubs applicants will be personally matched with two other APRA AMCOS members artists to write in a space within the studio for two hours to try and create a new work! We'll kick off the session meeting with Mo'Ju who will provide some hints and tips to get you started.

We are looking for artists who have:
* Demonstrated capacity to write works;
* Interest in developing co-writing skills;
* Are open to working with others;
* Are available 10am - 1pm on Wednesday 29th November

Please note that by applying for this opportunity you understand that the selection committee's decision will be final and that percentage splits for works created in this process will be shared equally by the participants unless agreed in writing prior to the sessions.

The selection committee will be made up of an APRA AMCOS representative and SongHubs curator Mo'Ju.
