Background

The United States Marshals Service (USMS) has a responsibility to Relocate, Appraise, Store, Maintain and Dispose of seized and/or forfeited Vehicles throughout the United States.  This requirement is for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of North Carolina, the District of South Carolina and the Northern and Southern Districts of Georgia.

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)

The USMS is posting this announcement as an RFI only, for the upcoming solicitation that will be posted on the SAM.gov website at https://sam.gov. This RFI is issued for the purpose of identifying the availability of potential qualified sources that will be able to meet the requirement.  The solicitation will be for the Towing, Appraisal, Storage, Maintenance and Disposal of Vehicles to the General Public as a customary business practice in the Charlotte, North Carolina; Raleigh, North Carolina; and, Atlanta, Georgia metropolitan areas.  The vehicle services contract will be for a base year and four (4) one-year options. In addition, FAR 52.217-8 "Option to Extend Services" will be included to the solicitation/contract.

There are (3) three locations of Contract Performance.

                  i.             Western District of North Carolina - 50 road miles of USMS, 401 W. Trade Street, Charlotte, NC 28202 
                  ii.            Eastern District of North Carolina - 50 road miles of the USMS, 310 New Bern Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27601 
                  iii.           Northern District of Georgia - 50 road miles of the USMS, 75 Ted Turner Drive SW, Atlanta, GA  30303

You are advised that providing your capability statement and responses to all questions that no entitlement to payment or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of contractor submission of responses to this RFI or the Government’s use of such information.  The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any contractor’s input resulting from this RFI.   In addition, you are advised that providing responses to the questions will not automatically include you in the acquisition process for this solicitation.
