1. Please help Weave prepare for the National Disability Insurance Scheme.

Dear Weave enthusiast,
We are developing a NDIS strategy for Weave Movement Theatre which will identify options to possibly become a NDIS provider and expand the range of activities available to existing and new artists with a disability.
At present Weave relies heavily on grant funding from trusts and foundations and local council to deliver activities. This is always hard to find and increasingly difficult to get. The NDIS offers the possibility to increase what is offered and to continue what we do.
The NDIS will see disability funds transferred from DHHS to the NDIS and then allocated to each person with a disability or their family through an NDIS plan. The family or person can then decide which organisation they want to use to support them such as Weave.
To prepare for this change Weave have contracted Wayne Pfeiffer, PfA Consults to review the current program, assess its viability under the NDIS and provide recommendations.

This survey is being conducted with all people associated with Weave including company members, their families, Board members, facilitators and potential new members to better understand peoples' ideas and needs to help prepare ourselves for this change.
We particularly want to know why you are involved or want to be involved in Weave?
  • What you think of Weave?
  • What we are good at and where we can improve?
  • What other arts services you currently use?
  • What your future goals are in the arts and more generally?
  • What types of services you may want to use in the future?
  • Whether you use disability services or have a NDIS package
The information you provide will be kept private and confidential and will be analysed by PfA Consults. A report will be written for the Weave Board with a summary included on our website once completed.
Please take the 15-20 minutes to complete the survey as soon as you can. Hard copies are also available if you would rather do the survey that way. Contact Janice Florence, Weave Artistic Director weavemovement@gmail.com or 0400 031 418 for a copy, if you need help to complete the survey or have any questions regarding the project.
Thanks again for helping us with this important project.

Yours Sincerely

Fiona Cook
