This will be the most unfair survey you have ever taken. I am going to ask you to name the greatest ever across the sports landscape.
Just "greatest ever." One name. No hedging. No equivocating.
In some cases, you might not have a strong opinion — or really any opinion at all. I’d ask you to fill out a name anyway, if you can. The point is not figure out who is the greatest in every sport, but instead to get at something I think is more meaningful. I’ll explain all of it once the results come in and are tallied.
To make this easier, I’d ask you two favors:
1. Please enter the greatest’s first and last name. It will make things easier to sort.
2. Think for a moment about how you’d defend your choice if this were a party and someone wanted to argue with you.
