Thank you for applying to Pierce College's Bachelor of Applied Science in Teaching program! This degree leads to teacher licensure with dual endorsements in both P-3 early childhood education and P-3 early childhood special education. This enables graduates to teach children from Preschool through 3rd grade in a Washington state public school.
Before you continue through the application, please be sure to carefully read the information included below.
Application Timeline

Applications are reviewed by an Admissions Committee led by Pierce College's Director of Education Programs and consisting of Pierce College Education Programs faculty and staff. The Admissions Committee holistically reviews all submitted materials for each applicant and collaboratively makes an admissions decision.

Applications are reviewed in two groups based upon when an applicant submits their completed application (including all required application materials). The BAS-T application has two application deadlines:

  • Priority application deadline: June 1, 2026
  • Final application deadline: August 15, 2026

Applicants who submit their applications between February 1st and June 1st will be reviewed with the first group in June/July and can expect admissions decisions in July. Applicants who submit their applications between June 2nd and August 15th will be reviewed with the second group in late August and can expect admissions decisions in late August/early September.

If there is available space in the program after the August 15th application deadline, then the Admissions Committee will continue to review submitted applications individually until all spots are filled.
