Current National Regulations and Procedures for Clearing or Remediating Munitions in the Sea. Europe’s seabed holds millions of tons of chemical and unexploded ordnance (UXOs). This is a security and an environmental risk as European Commission acknowledges in the recent European Ocean Pact. There is hence a need to assess and manage this problem at a EU wide level where we share information across different administrations and expertise, in EU.This survey aims to map the current legal framework and procedures used in Europe for addressing marine munitions and seek input from all relevant administrations in your country. The outcomes of this survey will be discussed in upcoming workshops (more information at the end of the survey – to which you will also be invited) with the goal of enabling the development of effective solutions collaboratively in support of the Oceans Pact.Thank you for completing this survey.
