About the Group

The Blak Collective is open to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. This is a social space for mob to come together, hang out, explore Naarm (Melbourne), and discuss all things Blak as you try to navigate the University landscape. The group will meet once a month to do a new activity, which will be decided by members of the collective. UMSU Indigenous will provide funds so the collective can participate in these activities, which may include going to a Blak comedy festival, a gallery featuring a Blak artist, attending a public lecture by a prominent Blak individual or seeing a film produced by or featuring Blak talent.

Note, only First Nations students currently enrolled at the University of Melbourne are eligible to participate in the collective.
