United Way is partnering with local nonprofit leaders to design a new nonprofit resource hub to build the capacity of nonprofits across the state.
We are hoping that this process will help us to lift up existing capacity building resources, address obstacles that nonprofits have to accessing support, and develop new initiatives that can strengthen nonprofit organizations and empower and equip the staff who work in the sector.
Our first step is to understand what capacity building resources are currently available and accessible to Rhode Island nonprofits, so we'd love to get your input. Are there organizations, consultants, or resources that you depend on for professional development, training, advocacy, data, or collaboration? What are the gaps that you see in the current capacity building landscape in Rhode Island? Please help us with this initial research, and we invite you to stay involved as an Input Partner throughout the process.
Before we begin our research and landscape mapping, we'd appreciate your input about capacity building resources you are aware of and/or have benefitted from.
