Let's join forces to support service children!
Independent Education Advisor and expert in Service Children* provision, Matt Blyton, will be joining Make Happen and Anglia Ruskin University to deliver a 1.5 hour Teacher CPD session on MS Teams.
Matt will guide attendees through the following topics:
· Service Children: An overview – why the focus?
· The imperatives of research, performance and service pupil voice
· The SCiP Alliance: How it can help you and your school
· Using the SCiP Alliance’s Thriving Lives Toolkit and associated resources in school
This CPD session is appropriate for all teaching and advisory staff and will be delivered on the 8th May – 1:30-3pm, and Tuesday 13th May from 4-5:30pm.
This CPD session is also promoted as part of the Creative Forces Day package. Creative Forces Days are designed for Service Children* in Years 7–11 and their teachers/advisors to explore a university campus and take part in workshops designed around the service child identity and voice.
*Service Child: A person whose parent or carer serves in the Regular Armed Forces, or as a Reservist, or has done at any point during the first 25 years of that person’s life
