Welcome! We appreciate your feedback.

PennDOT is receiving $171.5 million in federal funds from the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program to install public electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. PennDOT is first required to use these funds towards building a network of fast charging along major roadways, which are primarily the interstate highways. You may view PennDOT’s progress to deploy this charging network on the PennDOT NEVI Active Projects Map.

PennDOT is preparing for the community phase of the NEVI program, which is where we need your help! Your feedback will help refine and implement the community phase of the NEVI program.

The four proposed focus areas and funding amounts for the community phase are:
  • Corridor Connections: $10 million - $15 million
  • Community Charging: $75 million - $80 million
  • Critical Investments: $5 million - $10 million
  • EV Charging Workforce Development: $4 million - $6 million
The survey includes an introduction to each focus area. For more details you may review PennDOT's NEVI Community Phase Framework.

Note that throughout this survey “EV” includes all-electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, but does not include conventional hybrids.

Estimated Survey Completion Time: 10 minutes.
