Vaccine Education Needs Assessment  for Canadian Pharmacy Students

Dear Canadian Pharmacy Student,

In participating in this needs assessment you are providing valuable input on the current preparedness for future pharmacist immunization providers.  Across the country, pharmacists have played a large role in the delivery of recommended immunizations in an accessible community setting.  As this area of pharmacy specialty continues to grow it is critical that pharmacists feel prepared and confident in their "advanced" role as immunizers.  The Vaccine Center of Excellence Program seeks to train and support pharmacist immunizers to become the go-to experts in their respective communities.

Step 1: Baseline Needs Assessment

Please complete this initial survey based on your demographic information, along with your honest assessment of your own confidence  and preparedness for advanced immunization practice.

Step 2: Attend the training webinar

You will then attend and complete a training webinar (live or recorded)
featuring the VCE team and a local immunization expert.  In this webinar content will focus on what clinical and operational knowledge is needed to become a vaccine expert for your community.

Step 3: Revisit the Needs Assessment with your newfound knowledge

After completing the webinar for your school, please complete the needs assessment a second time with your new found knowledge.  Provide realistic feedback based on how you feel your immunization knowledge has improved following the advanced education.

Step 4: Keep in touch!

The Vaccine Center of Excellence team would like to support your journey as an advanced immunization provider.  Please do reach out to us with questions or feedback at vce@immunize.io
