Tell us what you think

We are proposing, that Quiet Lanes be designated in this area to regain the character and tranquility of our country lanes. As they are for use and enjoyment by us all, your views on Quiet Lanes and whether they are a good idea are essential. Please tell us what you think, by taking a few minutes to flll in the questions below. This questionnaire has been adapted from the one suggested by CPRE. We will be passing on our analysis of the responses received to the Head of Transportation at East Sussex County Council, Wealden District Council, who would be responsible for developing the Quiet Lanes project in partnership with the community.

Question Title

* 5. We would suggest also that the section of Lampool Hill (B2026) between just the other side of The Street and just the other side of Old Forge Lane should have a reduced speed limit to ideally 20mph but at least 30mph as walking or riding along that section of the B2026 is extremely dangerous. This is essential because there is no safe access to The Foresters Arms or the Village Hall from Old Forge Lane apart from the bridle path across the forest, between Old Forge Lane and Toll Lane.

If you agree with this point that there should be a reduced speed limit here, then please tick Yes below
