The Fete Committee is interested in your feedback about the NMPS 2016 Fete so that the next one can be even bigger and better! Thankyou for answering our survey.

* 1. TIMING This is the third time we have held a twilight fete in late March. It is only held every second year. The reasons we’ve chosen this are because it's still daylight saving, we don’t use up a whole day on a weekend, we have a good chance at fine weather, and people stay after pick up, straight from school. It is less disruptive to the school to hold it in Term 1 rather than at the end of year. The alternative is likely to be a Saturday from 11 until 4 pm.

* 2. INFORMATION: Communications regarding the fete were made by Tiqbiz, regular NMPS newsletters, billboards and flyers, special fete newsletters, on-line booking for rosters and notes home from classroom teachers.

* 4. FOOD: Our meal choices involved the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden and internally managed choices (burritos/tacos, corn on the cob, quiches, pizza, Devonshire teas, fruit boxes and water, BBQ, Beer & Wine Caravan) and externally provided (Warung Agus’ Balianese, Royal Mail spit roast, coffee cart).  Our treats included cakes and biscuits, scones, popcorn, snow cones and fairy floss.

Please comment on the quality, range and pricing of the meals and drinks available.

ACTIVITIES: Our activity stalls involved the Side Show Alley (Lego Launcher Shape Throw, Angry Birds, Minion Bowling, Plants Vs Zombies), Try Your Luck stalls (Fisher Fortune, Food Bingo, Spinning Wheel and Lucky Shots), dress up/ make up called Lick N Polish (Face painting, crazy hair and nails, henna tattoos) and craft options (badge making, bead making, hat making, Girl Guides fun). 

What did you think about the choices/range, enjoyment for the children, creativity, design, running/involvement of the students, and generally the activities available – please comment:

* 6. ITEMS TO BUY: We had an extensive range of stalls for people to purchase from including: plants and flowers, preserves (jams, chutney, cordials), Craft Addicts stall (clothes, jewellery, soaps etc), cakes and biscuits, Recycled Shed (second hand books, CDs, DVDs, games). 

What did you think of the stalls with goods to purchase (choices, pricing, quality etc)?

* 7. AUCTIONS: Our silent auction had over 30 vouchers/products donated by our local businesses and 20 hampers made from the year level themed donations (from our families).  Our live auction involved 6 major prizes which were auctioned off at the evening.  They were advertised in an Auction Booklet which was sent home prior to the fete. 

What are your thoughts about the silent and live auctions? Please comment on the prizes, choices/range, information/promotion, set up, and your overall impression of the auctions.

* 8. RIDES/AMUSEMENTS: We’d like to know about the externally provided rides/amusements.  This year we had 4 inflatable rides (the Atomic Drop, Tiger Jumping Castle, Wipe Out Obstacle Challenge, Mega X Treme Obstacle Course), a Horse merry go round, and the Animal Farm.  Our extensive Tiger Turf surfaces dictated these choices.  The rides were zoned up on the main oval.

Please comment on the rides including enjoyment for the children, range, positioning and quality (the next question will ask about pricing).

* 9. WRISTBANDS AND SUPER PASSES: This year we sold wristbands (for unlimited rides) and introduced our new superpasses on lanyards (valid for 8 choices of activities and kid's food items).
